How Taken
Aciphex is taken by mouth as delayed-release, enteric-coated tablets. The recommended dose for adult is 1 Aciphex 20 mg delayed-release tablet to be taken once daily. Each dose is taken together with a full glass of water. You should not break, chew, or split the tablets. Swallow Aciphex Pills whole. They are specially made to release slowly in your body.
Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Aciphex, inform your doctor if take any of these medicines: ketoconazole (Nizoral), ampicillin (Omnipen, Principen), iron (Feosol, Mol-Iron, Fergon, Femiron), digoxin (Lanoxin, Lanoxicaps), or cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral). You shouldn’t take Aciphex, or you may need a dosage adjustment if you are taking any of the medicines listed above. Other drugs may also interact with Aciphex. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist before taking Aciphex pills
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosing schedule.
Possible Side Effects
Serious side effects from Aciphex are uncommon. If you experience an allergic reaction stop taking Aciphex and seek emergency medical help (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives) to Aciphex. Less serious side effects from Aciphex are also rare. Continue to take Aciphex and talk to your doctor if you experience headache; upset stomach or diarrhea; insomnia or nervousness; or a rash or itching.
Storage
Keep Aciphex away from children. Store Aciphex at room temperature (between 59°F and 86°F). Protect Aciphex from moisture.
Overdose
Symptoms of an Aciphex overdose are unknown. Seek emergency medical help.
